For nearly 13 years, Chance has been a decorated police officer with the Au=
stin, Texas Police Department. </p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom=
:16px">But in May of 2020, our lives were turned upside down. </p><p s=
tyle=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">You probably remember what it was like=
our country after George Floyd. Violent, fiery anti-police protests were s=
weeping through cities. </p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">
Every step of the way, they were cheered on by radical politicians, Soros-f=
unded prosecutors, and the Mainstream Media who lied to us and said, with a=
straight face, that these riots were "mostly peaceful." </p><p style=
=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">It was especially bad here in Austin, Texa=
s. </p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">
For three nights in a row, angry, anti-cop mobs rampaged through downtown, =
smashing windows, burning police cars, and looting stores. The crowd attack=
ed officers like my husband who were trying to keep the peace, pelting them=
with rocks, bricks, and even lit fireworks. </p><p style=3D"margin:0;=
margin-bottom:16px">On the third night, things got even worse. </p><p=
style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">Protestors shut down interstate, and=
a crazed mob surrounded Police Headquarters.

knew that if they didn't restore order quickly, the headquarters, and mayb=
e even the entire city, might burn to the ground. </p><p style=3D"mar=

eapons =E2=80=93 the same "beanbag guns" that police have used for years to=
break up riots =E2=80=93 to stop the violence before it got out of hand. &=

y husband made it home safe and sound. </p><p style=3D"margin:0;margi=

Unknown to Chance and the other officers on duty that night, an anti-police=
protestor was hit by one of my husband's non-lethal rounds. They claimed t=

nal charges and face life in prison for following their training and breaki=

What are cops like my husband supposed to do when faced with this kind of o=

When Chance told me about the charges, my emotions went from disbelief to a=

me city that gave Chance this award... </p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin=
-bottom:16px">...will try to lock him up for life for doing his job. <=

For nearly 13 years, Chance has been a decorated police officer with the Au=
stin, Texas Police Department. </p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom=
:16px">But in May of 2020, our lives were turned upside down. </p><p s=
tyle=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">You probably remember what it was like=
our country after George Floyd. Violent, fiery anti-police protests were s=
weeping through cities. </p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">
Every step of the way, they were cheered on by radical politicians, Soros-f=
unded prosecutors, and the Mainstream Media who lied to us and said, with a=
straight face, that these riots were "mostly peaceful." </p><p style=
=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">It was especially bad here in Austin, Texa=
s. </p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">
For three nights in a row, angry, anti-cop mobs rampaged through downtown, =
smashing windows, burning police cars, and looting stores. The crowd attack=
ed officers like my husband who were trying to keep the peace, pelting them=
with rocks, bricks, and even lit fireworks. </p><p style=3D"margin:0;=
margin-bottom:16px">On the third night, things got even worse. </p><p=
style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">Protestors shut down interstate, and=
a crazed mob surrounded Police Headquarters.
</p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">Chance and his fellow officers=
knew that if they didn't restore order quickly, the headquarters, and mayb=
e even the entire city, might burn to the ground. </p><p style=3D"mar=
gin:0;margin-bottom:16px">Following their training, they fired non-lethal w=
eapons =E2=80=93 the same "beanbag guns" that police have used for years to=
break up riots =E2=80=93 to stop the violence before it got out of hand. &=

The mob slunk off. </p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">And m=
y husband made it home safe and sound. </p><p style=3D"margin:0;margi=
n-bottom:16px">What I didn=E2=80=99t know then was that this nightmare wasn=

Unknown to Chance and the other officers on duty that night, an anti-police=
protestor was hit by one of my husband's non-lethal rounds. They claimed t=
