Our kids’ safety, education and futures are at stake—and so is the privacy of our personal data. Across the country, schools face budget cuts, threats of privatization, and policies that put politics ahead of children’s well-being. And here in Washington, D.C., Elon Musk and his so-called Department of Government Efficiency appear to be hacking into millions of Americans’ personal information and now have access to their taxes, Social Security, student debt and financial aid filings.

That’s why tomorrow, Feb. 12, the AFT is taking action with two rallies. We hope to see you there, to stand up for our kids and our communities. See the details below.

We must act now to protect safe and inclusive schools where every child feels secure and supported. We must fight for strong public education that invests in every child, not just a privileged few. We must stand up for our children’s futures by prioritizing commonsense solutions that ensure their safety and success. And we must protect our private data from the overreach of an unelected billionaire.
