John,
This email isn’t going to end institutional racism, violence against Black and Indigenous and People of Color or white supremacy.
But silence and inaction are no longer an option.
We reject violence against Black and Indigenous and People of Color and white supremacy. We demand an end to the systematic, institutional racism that oppresses Black and Indigenous and People of Color.
We stand in solidarity as allies with Black and Indigenous and People of Color in WI and across the nation as they express their outrage, sadness and frustration in the wake of the murder of George Floyd and so many other Black men and women, racial discrimination and the violence perpetrated on their communities.
But we need to do more.
We need to lift up the voices of Black and Indigenous and People of Color. We need to listen. We need to be impactful allies. We need to act.
If you’re not involved yet you can:
- Donate to Black & Indigenous & People of Color groups fighting for social justice in our communities;
- Protest police brutality and injustice in our communities;
- Register to vote & cast your ballot in federal, state & local elections for leaders who center criminal justice reform and anti-racism platforms;
- Educate yourself on systematic and institutional racism.
Whatever you do, it’s time to do something and to keep fighting until we see real change.
A Better Wisconsin Together
