Dear Jack,
I'm wishing the best for you and your family during this difficult time. Every week, I'll be sending you updates on what the COVID-19 situation looks like in Virginia, and the latest news on what we're doing to stop the spread and help those who are impacted by the virus.
Forward Virginia Update
Governor Northam released a statement today saying that while the rest of the state will be moving to Phase 2 on Friday, June 5th, Northern Virginia (including Loudoun and Prince William counties) will be remaining in Phase 1. Health officials need more time to track our data and ensure that it's safe to open. You can read the Governor's press release here.
Small Business Grants
Loudoun County will be opening up applications for the third round of its COVID-19 Business Interruption Grants tomorrow, June 3rd, at 12pm. You can see more information and apply here. The grants will be rewarded to 400 applicants using a lottery system.
Prince William County is also offering Small Business Relief Micro-Grants, and they are currently accepting applications. The applications will be open until Friday, June 5th at 11:59pm. You can check the eligibility requirements and apply here.
