In case you need a reminder about what we’re up against this November, my opponent voted against a bill that would’ve protected the right to access birth control and emergency contraception in Virginia:

Last year, Governor Youngkin vetoed this same bill, and now my opponent is following in his footsteps — the same old extreme playbook. Virginia is the only state in the South that hasn’t passed further restrictions on women’s reproductive healthcare since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, but we don’t know what the next attacks on our fundamental rights will be.
Over the past two and a half years, we’ve seen how the Dobbs decision opened the door for renewed attacks on reproductive rights in states across the country.
Virginians deserve a Governor who will defend their reproductive freedoms – not pretend that threats to their rights aren’t real. Here’s my vow to you: when this legislation comes across my desk as Governor, I will sign the right to contraception into law.
But I need your help to get there. Will you contribute to my campaign so we can flip this seat blue and protect reproductive rights across the Commonwealth?

Thank you,
Abigail Spanberger
