Heavy Rainstorm Expected This Week; Flood Watch Issued
The National Weather Service [ [link removed] ] has issued a flood watch for all day Thursday. The peak of the storm is expected that day with moderate to heavy rain and gusty winds. Additionally, there is risk of debris flows and flash flooding in and around the recent burn areas. The forecasted storm will start tomorrow and last through Friday, Feb. 14.

*LA County Recovers Press Conference*
Tomorrow, Feb. 12 at 8 AM, LA County Supervisors Kathryn Barger and Lindsey Horvath will host a press conference with LA County officials to provide essential information about public safety measures and proactive preparedness ahead of major rainstorms anticipated this week.

Phase 2 of Debris Removal is Officially Underway
Today, local, state, and federal officials held two separate press conferences to officially launch Phase 2 of the debris removal program in Altadena and Pacific Palisades. To watch, click the links below.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in coordination with the State of California and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, have begun Phase 2 debris removal for private residential properties in the Eaton and Palisades wildfire impact zones. The start of Phase 2 debris removal to private homes marks a major milestone in the wildfire recovery process [ [link removed] ] for residents impacted by the wildfires.

The new online Right of Entry form is now available for those opting into the government-sponsored debris removal program. Submit the form here [ [link removed] ]. The form also is available in Spanish [ [link removed] ].
If you have not yet submitted your opt-in form, please do so as soon as possible to take advantage of this free debris removal program by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
