February 2025 Climate Justice Committee Meeting

TODAY! February 11 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join the Climate Justice Committee for our February 2025 Meeting!

For this meeting we invite everyone to bring their best ideas for issues that we as a committee could tackle in 2025.

  • What are some of the biggest environmental issues facing our community this year?
  • What possible solutions are there to these issues?
  • What actions can we take as individuals? As a committee? As a chapter? Locally? State-wide? Federally?

We hope to see you there!

Power Mass Transit Monthly February Meeting

Thursday, February 13 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Come out for our first in-person DSA-LA Power Mass Transit General Meeting of 2025! Join us to discuss the two focuses of our 2024 campaign: Public Services (#stationsneedstalls) and funding LA’s Mobility Plan for safer, more efficient streets. DSA-Transit is working with labor unions and socialists in office (SIO) to build community power toward improving LA transportation. Whether you are a union member interested in joining our labor circle, a METRO rider passionate about canvassing fellow transit riders for better service, or a skilled artist or writer working with our amazing Communications team, we’re always looking for comrades passionate about building a world-class public transit system that values riders and workers alike!

Want to talk to socialists in your neighborhood? Interested in getting involved and transforming this city? Want to shape the future of DSA and the world? Come to your local Central Branch meeting! This is a great meeting for new members, DSA-curious folks, and longtime comrades.
Join your fellow Central Branch socialists at UTLA (3303 Wilshire Blvd.) for our bimonthly Central Branch meeting. At this meeting, we’ll be analyzing regional issues from a socialist perspective, discussing our upcoming 2025 local convention, and debating updates to our Democratic Socialist Program, along with other programming.
We’ll have sparkling waters, snacks, and comradeship. After the meeting we’ll have an informal social activity, so stick around after the end!

Eastside + San Gabriel Valley Branch Meeting

Saturday, February 15 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Come meet your fellow socialists for our first branch meeting of the year. We’ll take some time and discuss our thoughts on the Trump administration, ongoing efforts to support wildfire recovery, and what position socialists and DSA should take moving forward. Come share your thoughts and hear from your fellow Eastside+SGV socialists.

Next we’ll discuss some important upcoming campaigns and how YOU can get involved and help build socialism in our communities.

We’ll have snacks and coffee. Bring a socialist curious friend!

South-Central/Inglewood February Branch Meeting

Sunday, February 16 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Join South Central/Inglewood comrades–new and experienced–as we prepare for our local annual convention, discuss strikes, campaigns to secure better rent control and mass transit policies, school board races, and build working class power in Los Angeles. We’ll also have food and sparkling seltzers. Branch meetings are a great space for newer members to meet friendly socialists, and for more experienced comrades to help grow our org. They serve as a site for coordination between neighborhood groups and the chapter at large, and focus on political education and skill sharing, trainings, and developing collective plans of action.
