John - this is Josh Weil. I urgently need your attention for just one moment.

I trust my team—they are the best in the business. But when they told me we could turn this sleepy special election race in Florida into a multi-million dollar nationwide referendum against Trump and take the fight directly to Elon Musk, I was admittedly...skeptical.

After all, I have been a public school teacher my entire career. It upsets me that it takes this much money to run a successful congressional race against the MAGA machine.

We could do a whoooollllllle lot of good with the millions and billions of dollars we dump into politics if we instead invested it in our education system.

But the truth is, we can't. They won't let us. They want to ban books and dismantle public education. We can't stop them AND fully fund education if we don't win tough campaigns.

Giving up on elections is the same thing as giving up on a brighter future for our kids. It's simply not an option.

If we didn't compete and we didn't invest in a massive fundraising operation that can fight back against the smears and relentless attacks I have been getting from Trump's allies here, we would get creamed.

Since I have been so busy campaigning in my district, I don't usually get involved with the ins and outs of our fundraising operation. But when my team sounds the alarm and tells me we are at serious risk of going dark nearly two weeks before Election Day, I listen.

And unfortunately, it's time to break the glass and declare an emergency. 🚨
