Dear A.,
President Trump ordered large-scale strikes against Houthi terrorists in Yemen last night, reportedly eliminating several of their key leaders and vowing to use "overwhelming lethal force" until the Iran-backed terror group stops attacking American personnel and international shipping.
Images online showed plumes of smoke over the area of the Sanaa airport complex, which includes a large military facility. The strikes in Yemen's capital reportedly targeted a building in a Houthi stronghold, while other strikes hit power stations and locations across Yemen where Houthi leadership gathers.
"Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S. aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies," the president said. "These relentless assaults have cost the U.S. and World Economy many BILLIONS of Dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk."
"To all Houthi terrorists," he warned, "YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!"

U.S. ships reportedly shot down about a dozen Houthi drones targeting the USS Harry S. Truman strike group since the airstrikes last night. According to U.S. defense officials, the drones were shot down “well before” they posed a serious threat.
National Security Adviser Mike Waltz reiterated the warning to Tehran this morning. When asked about the threat of military force against the regime, Waltz said that "all actions are always on the table with the president. Iran needs to hear him loud and clear."
Waltz also reaffirmed that "Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon" and that the regime must verifiably dismantle its nuclear weapons program. "They can either hand it over and give it up in a way that is verifiable, or they can face a whole series of other consequences." Watch his comments below:

Defense Minister Katz: Israel's 'Iron Beam' nearly operational
For decades, AIPAC members have lobbied Congress to support lifesaving missile defense systems like Iron Dome, David's Sling, and Arrow. We've also urged Washington to fund groundbreaking technologies like Iron Beam, a new laser system being developed to shoot down rockets and drones for a fraction of the cost of Iron Dome.
Together, we successfully lobbied Congress to allocate

$1.2 billion for the Iron Beam last year, as part of the unprecedented $14.3 billion security aid package enacted into law.
Today, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that

Iron Beam is nearly operational and will be implemented later this year.
“The laser system is the weapon of the future, capable of neutralizing an entire layer of threats…with outstanding and continuously improving results. Israeli citizens need this protection,” Katz

said .
The system will not replace Iron Dome or other air defense systems, but will supplement them by shooting down smaller projectiles.
Together, our work ensures Israel has the most advanced defense systems in the world to protect its families and save lives.

Former Hostage Tal Shoham: 'Hamas never stopped digging tunnels.'
Tal Shoham spent 505 days in Hamas captivity under Gaza. In an interview over the weekend, Shoham detailed some of the horrors he endured and revealed that Hamas continues to expand its vast array of tunnels.
"Never in my life have I experienced suffering like this," Shoham said. “I sat on the floor and imagined myself at [my family's] funeral. I stood in front of a grave — one large for my wife, and two small for my children — and I eulogized each of them,” he recalled. “I sobbed but didn’t let my captors see me cry. That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, burying my family in my mind.”
He later discovered that his wife and family, who had also been abducted by the terrorists, were released in November 2023.
Shoham was held hostage underground by Hamas terrorists who were responsible for digging terror tunnels. “Hamas never stopped digging tunnels. Not for a single day.”
The terrorists starved Tal in captivity, giving him as little as “three spoons of avocado and three dates” per day.
Hamas is still holding 59 hostages, including 5 Americans, in this hell under Gaza.

IDF eliminates 10/7 terrorist and others ‘operating under guise of journalists’ in Gaza
The IDF eliminated six Palestinian terrorists in northern Gaza yesterday, including a terrorist who participated in the October 7 massacre.
According to the military, the terrorists "were operating under the guise of journalists."
“Based on intelligence information regarding the terror activity in the area, it was determined that the drone was in constant use by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad organization, including during its use [on Saturday],” the IDF said.
Separately, the IDF targeted and killed two Hezbollah terrorists in an airstrike in southern Lebanon today.

AIPAC mourns the passing of former Rep. Nita Lowey
AIPAC mourns the passing of former Rep. Nita Lowey, who was a dear friend and stalwart ally of the pro-Israel community. Throughout her career in the U.S. Congress, Rep. Lowey was an always dependable and effective leader in advancing the U.S.-Israel relationship.
As Chair of the Appropriations Committee, she was an indefatigable advocate for the necessary resources for the Jewish state to defend itself. Rep. Lowey left a legacy for regional reconciliation with the Nita M. Lowey Middle East Partnership for Peace Act.
We extend our condolences to Rep. Lowey’s family, former colleagues, and many friends throughout the world.
