Thank you all for your resistance efforts this past week! Protests, rallies, and other events are popping up all the time, and we are trying to keep you informed. You can check this spreadsheet for up-to-date information.
This week is a congressional recess week, and you'll have opportunities to make your voices heard! Plus, we're hosting our first member meeting of the year!

STATE: VOTING RIGHTS RALLY - MARCH 18TH
Join Kentuckians for the Commonwealth at the Kentucky State Capitol Rotunda in Frankfort on Tuesday, March 18th from 11 a.m. until 12:30p.m. for a Voting Rights Rally. RSVP on Mobilize.
LOCAL: SUPPORTING IMMIGRANTS IN OUR COMMUNITY- MARCH 18TH Kentucky Women's Network will be hosting a panel about how to help immigrants in Fayette County on Tuesday, March 18th at 6:30 p.m. at St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church, 1891 Parker’s Mill Road in Lexington (Park in the back and join them in the basement fellowship hall).
NATIONAL: PEACEFUL PROTEST AT ANDY BARR'S POLICY TALK - MARCH 19TH Andy Barr isn't listening so it’s time to make him feel the pressure. We're showing up outside his Policy Talk at the Hyatt Regency Lexington (401 W High St) from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19th. Hosted by Progress KY, Indivisible Task Force, Peaceful Bluegrass Resistance, and Bluegrass Activist Alliance. RSVP on Mobilize.
LOCAL: LEARN, FIGHT, WIN WITH TEAM FAYETTE - MARCH 19TH The Fayette County Democratic Party is hosting an open house to help provide information on first steps to become more involved in the 2026 election. The open house will be at the Fayette County Democratic Party (KY) headquarters at 431 S Broadway # 232 in Lexington on Wednesday, March 19th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. RSVP on Mobilize.
NATIONAL: THE PEOPLE'S TOWN HALL - MARCH 22ND Gathering for Democracy has invited Andy Barr to the People's Town Hall on Saturday, March 22nd at 10 a.m. at the Kentucky Theatre (214 E. Main Street, Lexington). So far, Andy Barr has not accepted the invitation but keep calling his office and ask him to attend. The town hall will proceed with or without him! Come and share your stories about how Andy Barr's votes in Congress are affecting you. Former Lexington Vice Mayor Steve Kay will be the moderator. This event is free and open to the public. BGAA SPRING 2025 MEETING! - MARCH 23RD Join us Sunday, March 23rd from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Farish Theater, Lexington Public Library (Central Library location, 140 E Main St, Lexington, KY). The meeting will also be streamed in our private Facebook group.
We’ll feature a state roundtable with current and former state representatives Adrielle Camuel (93), Anne Gay Donworth (76), and Cherlynn Stevenson. Plus, special guest speaker, Indivisible Co-Founder Ezra Levin!
