Patriot,

Every day, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) – the agency headed by Elon Musk to identify and cut government waste and abuse – identifies outrageous ways the federal government is wasting our tax dollars. . .

And Congress just went ahead and re-authorized the spending for these very same programs – even now, with full knowledge of them.

It's hard to believe a scenario this absurd: while Trump's administration identified and canceled funding for these programs on one hand, Trump's administration lobbied Congress to pass a spending bill that funds them again.

It's all smoke and mirrors. All of the so-called “cuts” are temporary – until and unless the money is rescinded by Congress.

Here's just a sample of the programs DOGE “cut”:

• $390,000,000 for outsourced “enterprise mail management program support services”
• $60,000,000 for “indigenous peoples and afro-Colombian empowerment”
• $74,000,000 for “inclusive justice” in Colombia
• $79,000,000 for “primary literacy” in Kenya
• $37,000,000 for “female empowerment” in Colombia
• A $4,000,000 grant to provide materials “to increase workforce diversity in the construction materials sector”
• $1,700,000 for the “China Health and Retirement Longitudinal study” at Peking University in Beijing, China
• $903,811 for alpaca farming in Peru
• $600,000 grant to study “menstrual cycles in transgender men”
• A $56,000 contract to water eight plants – house plants, not nuclear power plants – for 5 years ($1,400 per plant, per year)
In total, DOGE has saved an estimated $115 billion . . . for now. The savings are temporary.

But we can make these cuts permanent . . . and DOGE needs to take the next steps to do so: send a rescission bill to Congress – NOW.

The way it works is simple:

1. DOGE must submit the rescission request to Congress.
2. Congress approves the rescission by a simple majority – it cannot be filibustered in the Senate.
That's it.

But they have just 45 days from the day their cuts were made to get them done.

Tell DOGE right now: Send a rescission package to Congress immediately!

The clock is ticking, but Congress cannot act unless DOGE acts first.

(Of course, Congress should have cut all of this spending in the spending bill they just passed . . . but that ship has sailed.)

Supposedly, the reason Congress just passed a budget with NO meaningful reforms is because of the many procedural complexities in reaching a deal.

This process is simple. They just need to get it done.

DOGE is already listing the spending they've been cutting. It should be trivial to direct Congress to make these cuts permanent.

Sign Campaign for Liberty's open letter to Elon Musk and DOGE calling on them to send a rescission package to Congress immediately!

You and I MUST stay vigilant to make certain these spending cuts are followed through and the money is taken back for good.

Can we count on your support today to help us mobilize patriots, to rally support for more signers on this letter to DOGE to get the ball rolling?

It takes a lot to get Elon's attention, but we know this topic is at the forefront of his concerns. According to news reports, he was “elated” when Senator Rand Paul first pitched this concept to him last week.

But we need your support to get more Americans to call this out.

Please chip in a generous contribution if you can, to help us make this a victory. Can we count on your support of $100, or even $50 or $25?

Thanks for all you do,

John McCardell
Executive Director
Campaign for Liberty

P.S. Congress just let the American people down with their budget deal . . . but they can prove they're serious about cutting the spending if and only if DOGE steps up and sends them a rescission package.

Make sure you sign the letter to Elon Musk and DOGE right now!
