In the days since George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis police officers, Americans have organized on the ground in communities across the country to demand accountability and justice. But they have also united to stand up, speak out, and protest white supremacy, racism, and anti-Blackness while calling for an end to the systemic racism and police brutality that we continue to see day in and day out in our society.

Here in Seattle and across the country, grassroots organizations have been working tirelessly to support this urgent work so that we can make real, lasting, systemic change. We are partnering with three of these organizations to ensure that they have the resources necessary during this critical moment.

Each of these organizations has a proven record, and they are stepping up even more when we need them the most:

• Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County has organizers who are not only taking direct action to address anti-Black systems in Seattle but who are at the forefront of our region's on-the-ground response.

• Not This Time is working around the clock to reduce police violence, change the laws that govern the use of force, and heal our communities to rebuild trust.

• Black Visions Collective is a Black, trans and queer community-led group working to secure transformative justice in Minneapolis.
