What Skipping MMR Vaccination Means for the U.S. and Your Family
Like any pharmaceutical, vaccines come with potential health risks and side effects. Examining the MMR vaccine and its role in immunity is essential before making a decision. This article explores the consequences should vaccination rates significantly decline, especially in today’s more vulnerable populations.

Infrared’s Silent Embrace: The Light That Warms from Within
Life on Earth depends on the sun, and as humans, we absorb vital nutrients from its rays. While most people know the sun helps us produce vitamin D, fewer realize the powerful health benefits of infrared light (IR). From supporting heart health and reducing pain to enhancing cognitive function, IR is gaining attention. Beyond sunlight, it can also be harnessed through infrared saunas, light panels, and other devices.

During the first half of March 2025, AVFCA brought awareness to specific observance days by sharing our original stories that matched these themes:
World Candle Day: “Investigating Candle Toxicity: Creating Ambiance With Natural, Nontoxic Lighting"
Burning candles made from paraffin wax (crude oil) is accompanied by various health risks, including upper respiratory problems and cancer. More than 45% of all candles sold in the U.S. are made from paraffin, raising obvious concerns. Carcinogenic compounds are emitted during burning, including VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Alternatives such as soy, palm, and coconut candles are not concern-free, while 100% beeswax continues to be the most human- and environmental-friendly. http://tinyurl.com/candle-toxicity
Save Your Vision Month: “Eye Health Part Two: Exams, Procedures, and Integrative Specialists (Plus the Advancement of Ocular AI)”
Nutrition and lifestyle were covered in part one of our eye health series. In part two, optometrists and ophthalmologists who practice preventative eye care and use holistic and integrative methods for treatment are discussed. Such modalities might include homeopathy and acupuncture. In addition, typical eye exam tests are explained, and the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) in the ocular field, particularly to diagnose diabetic retinopathy is explored. http://tinyurl.com/eye-health2-0
Our team also reads hundreds of articles each week, and those of interest are shared on our social media platforms. However, once or twice a week, our team reads an article that is profound or shares a perspective that is new or from an expert that AVFCA feels should be highlighted. These articles are shared on our Substack.
