There are critical races happening right now in Wisconsin that are flying under the radar — but the outcome will directly impact people’s lives for the next decade.

On April 1, in one of those races, voters will elect a justice to the state Supreme Court for a 10-year term. The winner will be the swing vote in all Court decisions.

Republicans are backing Brad Schimel, who once led a lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act and rip health care away from hundreds of thousands of people. He also supported enforcing a dangerous abortion ban enacted in 1849 with no exceptions for rape or incest. If he becomes the deciding vote on the state Supreme Court, the consequences could be disastrous for people all over the state. Wisconsinites deserve better than an election bought and paid for by an out-of-touch billionaire.

That’s why it’s so important we win this race — and it’s why we’re committed to investing as much as we can to ensure Democrats have the resources they’ll need in Wisconsin for this election and those to come.
