Hi there,
Donald Trump has long used Twitter to say whatever he wants -- but now that Twitter has begun checking Trump, the president is threatening the freedom of speech of the entire Internet.
Trump's new executive order on social media seeks to change federal law so that social media companies can now be censored by the government.
The Washington Post reports that the sweeping order "poses the potential for wide-ranging consequences for a much broader segment of the Internet beyond just the social media giants, potentially affecting every website, app or service" where users can talk to one another.
Trump can't take away our freedom of speech online just because he abuses his. But with 55% of Americans saying they think the president will win a second term, most of the country thinks Trump will get away with it scot-free. Should he? Tell us:
