LGBTQ+ Youth Mental Health: A State-by-State Snapshot
The Trevor Project just released a groundbreaking 50 State Report ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) —a first-of-its-kind look into the mental health and well-being of LGBTQ+ young people in every U.S. state, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
With insights from over 18,000 LGBTQ+ young people, this report highlights suicide risk, access to mental health care, the impact of anti-LGBTQ+ policies, and the discrimination many still face–while also identifying the protective factors that can help save lives.
But this data is more than just numbers—it’s a call to action. Advocates, policymakers, and communities must step up to create safer, more welcoming environments where LGBTQ+ youth can thrive.
