CT mayor says the term 'rural character' is a dog whistle
for 'white,' 'Anglo-Saxon'
At a recent town meeting over Mansfield, CT.'s Vision and
Strategy Plan, a resident complained the term "rural" was being removed,
causing the town's mayor to claim the term "rural" is a dog whistle for
"white," or "Anglo-Saxon."
