Hi John,
Climate change is here, and our communities are already feeling the impacts. On top of that, utility rate hikes in Oregon have gone too far, which makes us less resilient and safe. That’s why OLCV has joined Building Resilience, a statewide coalition of climate justice, public health, business, and labor organizations; and thousands of individual Oregonians advocating for legislative action to promote healthy resilient communities that run on affordable clean energy.
The 2025 legislative session is in full swing, and that means the Building Resilience Coalition’s bills could be up for a public hearing any day now! Oregonians like you, as well as clean energy contractors and practitioners, can make a huge difference by sharing your clean energy and climate resilience stories. We know that when it comes to skyrocketing utility costs, and climate resilience everyone has a story to share.
We also know that finding your story, crafting it, and sharing it is a skill. That’s why we’re hosting a Storytelling Workshop! At this Building Resilience campaign training, you’ll learn the basics of storytelling, get some tips and tricks, and meet members of our team who are here to support you — JOIN US [[link removed]!

This year, Building Resilience has three priorities to reduce energy costs and support Oregonians in making the energy efficiency and resilience upgrades they want.
- One Stop Shop 2.0 (HB 3081)
- Get the Junk Out of Rates (SB 88)
- Fully Funding Climate Resilience
Oregon’s legislature must take action in 2025 to give more Oregonians access to more resilient and safer homes and buildings. Join our Storytellers Workshop to craft and share your story and help pass much-needed relief for Oregon families and small businesses [[link removed]].
