My MAGA extremist opponent, Randy Fine, is getting NERVOUS!
Staying true to his Project 2025 promises, yesterday, Donald Trump laid off half of the entire Department of Education. This followed news on Tuesday that Elon Musk’s DOGE would cancel 1 billion in funding for free lunches.
As a teacher at a Title I school, a school where a large percentage of my students come from depths of poverty that you would have a hard time imagining, this is soul-crushing news.

The allure of the American dream is that no matter your background every man, woman, and child has an opportunity to exponentially better their lot in life through hard work and dedication.
By attacking our schools, the place where children from even the most destitute backgrounds have the opportunity to find their gifts and catch up with their peers, the Trump administration is depriving a generation of American students a chance at realizing this dream.
Sadly, the killing of this dream for tens of millions of young Americans is by design. Fascism thrives off of dreams deferred, it thrives off of ignorance, poverty, and destitution.
By taking a chainsaw to the Department of Education and killing these dreams, Trump hopes to prime future generations for the coming darker phases of resurgent American fascism.
With Project 2025 in full swing we have a fleeting opportunity to stop its passage through Congress. If Democrats sweep the three upcoming 2025 special elections, we gain a one vote majority in the House and paralyze the MAGA movement’s ability to pass legislation.
This narrow path to reclaiming House control is contingent on me winning the race for Florida’s 6th Congressional District.
