Excessive cell phone use is hurting our students, team.
It’s fueling cyberbullying, increasing social anxiety, and making it harder for our kids to focus in class. That’s why I’m determined to address this issue so we can protect our children’s mental health and build a stronger future for New Jersey.
I’ve joined education leaders, teachers, and lawmakers to support the movement toward phone-free schools. I visited Woodbury Junior-Senior High School in South Jersey recently to talk with teachers and students about their shift to a phone-free school environment.

The results speak for themselves: Making Woodbury Junior-Senior High School a phone-free learning environment has led to fewer distractions in the classroom, stronger mental health, and better educational outcomes for students.
While other states are considering similar policies, New Jersey has a real chance to lead the way on this issue.
We need to prove that there’s strong grassroots support for this issue, so please — add your name to our petition today to support phone-free schools in New Jersey and help set our students up for success >>
Thanks for standing with me. Together, we can make sure our kids are learning in an environment that will help them reach their full potential.

Phil Murphy is hard at work on policies to rebuild the American Dream right here in New Jersey.
He’s cutting taxes, creating jobs, funding schools, and expanding opportunity — but he’s not alone. Stronger Fairer Forward exists to support that vision. Together, we’ll create more opportunities and revitalize the middle class.
Will you chip in to Stronger Fairer Forward today?
