John,

No matter how much Trump and other Republicans pretend their views are moderate, their actions tell us everything we need to know.

Overturning Roe v. Wade was just the beginning. Now, Republicans are unearthing a decades-old law to further restrict and erode our reproductive rights.

The Comstock Act — passed more than 150 years ago — was the result of one man’s crusade against everything he deemed to be obscene, including “any article or thing designed or intended for the prevention of conception or procuring an abortion.”

Project 2025 has been their outline for all the unconstitutional action they’ve taken since Trump returned to the White House. And Project 2025 outlines how they could misuse this outdated law to impose a nationwide ban on abortion and target providers and distributors of abortion medication.

Republicans know that voters don’t support their crusade against abortion rights, so reviving this “zombie law” is the easiest path to get their way.

It’s time we take immediate action to stop Republicans from abusing the Comstock Act to erode our reproductive rights.

That’s why I introduced the Stop Comstock Act, which would overturn this outdated and unconstitutional law and take it off the books.

Please sign on as a citizen co-sponsor of the Stop Comstock Act today to show my colleagues that voters support this bill and reproductive freedom. [[link removed]]

This zombie bill is the right’s biggest weapon against reproductive rights, and your support for this bill will help us disarm them at a critical time.

Thank you,
