Early voting starts today and I need to talk to you real quick about these amendments. Vote NO on all 4.
Amendment 1 – Kangaroo courts. They don’t like our local judges, so they want to create specialty courts where the insurance companies pick the judges. If you have to sue an insurance company after a hurricane, you’d have to go to one of these courts — and you already know how that’s gonna go.
Amendment 2 – The Big tax scam. They say it’s for teacher pay raises, but it doesn’t guarantee a dime for teachers. What it does is lock in tax cuts for the rich and raise sales taxes on working people. And once it’s in the constitution, we can’t undo it even when it bankrupts the state.
Amendment 3 – Trying kids as adults. This one’s disgusting. They want to give themselves full control to try 14 to 17 year olds as adults for non-violent crimes. When they were asked about it, they wouldn’t give a single example. That’s how you know it’s bad.
Amendment 4 – Rushing in judges. They want to rush in judges during low-turnout elections so the ones with the most money win. That’s not democracy — that’s a scam.
Vote NO on all 4. Don’t let them pull this on us.
