across the Midwest on his Fight Oligarchy Tour — and we love to see it!

As Eric Lutz wrote this week in [ [link removed] ]Vanity Fair: “Trump won over many
'forgotten' Americans merely by acknowledging their malaise, even as he
and his plutocratic allies loot the nation’s institutions and aggravate
the problems already facing its citizens.”

After speaking with Our Revolution leader Joseph Geevarghese, Lutz said
that “winning back poor and working class voters in the long term—and
combating the ascendent MAGA movement more immediately—may require
Democratic leadership capable of actually confronting that
disillusionment.”

“To fight a false populist like Trump,” as Geevarghese put it, “you need a
real populist.”

TAKING ON TRUMP’S WAR ON TRUTH

On National Protect Public Media Day, Our Revolution joined with the Free
Press, ACLU, and NPR workers who are union members (NABET-CWA) to rally at
NPR HQ.

The Trump Regime and its allies are escalating their attacks on the media,
pushing dangerous policies that threaten NPR, PBS, and independent
journalism.

Elon Musk and Project 2025 are advocating for defunding the Corporation
for Public Broadcasting. Trump’s new FCC chief, Brendan Carr, swiftly
launched an investigation into NPR and PBS.

Meanwhile, Sen. Mike Lee and Rep. Claudia Tenney introduced the Defund NPR
Act. These efforts are not about fiscal responsibility—they are about
silencing dissent, controlling information, and suppressing the truth.

Trump has long demonized the press, branding journalists as “the enemy of
the people,” suing major media outlets, and restricting access to
independent reporters.

His administration is undermining fact-based news in favor of
billionaire-owned platforms and right-wing propaganda machines like Fox
News and Sinclair Broadcasting.

Our Revolution and our allies are going to keep mobilizing to pressure
every elected official to defend public media and the free press. We
refuse to allow the silencing of independent voices and the dismantling of
journalistic integrity.

Speaking of free speech, Progressives are condemning the detention of
Palestinian activist and U.S. green card-holder Mahmoud Khalil, who led
campus protests at Columbia University last year to demand the U.S. end
its support for the Israeli war machine.

As the Trump Regime weaponizes the government against its enemies, Our
Revolution is calling on Democrats to unite in denouncing this chilling
crack-down on free speech.

“This is about the right to protest and to dissent,” Our Revolution leader
Joseph Geevarghese told [ [link removed] ]The Hill. “Trump is testing the limits of the
law, but also of the opposition.”

This week, Our Revolution’s volunteer-led Citizen Action Team conducted
lobby visits on Capitol Hill to deliver postcards from progressive voters
to Senators, including John Fetterman (PA), Elissa Slotkin (MI) and
others.

to lose Medicare," said Michelle in Coolidge, AZ.

Glenda in Phoenix said she will be impacted by "Medicaid cuts and fears
the freezing of income driven payment plans for student loans."

"I’m a veteran who utilizes the VA for my healthcare. I'm scared," said
Rebecca in Mesa, AZ.

SAVE THE EPA!

On Friday, Our Revolution activists rallied with allies outside the
Environmental Protection Agency to protest Trump’s war on our climate.

Trump's new EPA head Lee Zeldin just issued 31 "reconsiderations" of EPA
rules that protect our air, water, and climate, calling it “the greatest
day of deregulation our nation has seen,” and adding, "We are driving a
dagger straight into the heart of the climate change religion.”

We know that this is a top priority for our members, and we are taking
action with a powerful coalition of groups to protect people and the
planet under this regime.

Our Revolution hosted our [ [link removed] ]LIVE Climate Town Hall with Sunrise Movement,
Public Citizen, Friends of the Earth and others to hone in on
opportunities we can leverage to block the worst of Trump and the Oil
Oligarchs’ agenda.

We also [ [link removed] ]Rallied on Capitol Hill with Bernie Sanders, Ilhan Omar and our
Coalition to End Polluter Handouts to launch a fight to stop our tax
dollars from funding climate destruction. This is where Elon Musk should

STOPPING TRUMP’S WAR ON WORKERS

Our Revolution Organizing Call Recap: The Fight for Workers’ Rights
Intensifies

On our latest organizing call, we heard from powerful voices on the
frontlines of the fight against corporate greed and attacks on labor
rights.

Former NLRB General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo - who Trump fired - laid out
how we’re battling on all fronts, including against Elon Musk’s claims
that the NLRB is unconstitutional.

As Our Revolution Board Chair and former CWA President Larry Cohen put it,
“We’ll be fighting in the courts, in the streets, and in Congress.”

Mark Dimondstein, President of the American Postal Workers Union, warned
about the growing threat of privatization, pointing out that Musk recently
told investors that “everything should be privatized,” including the U.S.
Postal Service.

“Privatization is a mathematical equation—shifting public money to Wall
Street investors for maximum profit, not service,” Dimondstein said. The
administration’s corporate coup is hollowing out essential services,
paving the way for billionaires to cash in while degrading workers'
rights.

Former Secretary of the Department of Labor Julie Su underscored that this
isn’t just about budget cuts — it’s an all-out war on working people. “If
they want to wage a war on workers, we’re built for that fight,” she
declared.

U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) reminded us of the stakes, warning that
Trump and Musk aim to roll back key labor protections, from wage theft
enforcement to OSHA oversight, while dismantling the Department of Labor
entirely. “We have to keep raising the temperature,” she urged. “Congress
reacts to external pressure — your advocacy is critical.”

With the administration pushing executive orders to seize institutions and
slash protections, the fight has never been more urgent. But we have
power, and will not sit this out.

WISCONSIN SUPREME COURT RACE

All eyes are on the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, where Elon Musk is
spending millions thinking he can just buy this crucial seat.

We’re going all out to elect Susan Crawford as the court majority hangs in
the balance — which will decide cases on free and fair elections, voting
rights, abortion rights, corporate power, and more.

It’s all hands on deck — Bernie rallied our movement in Wisconsin last
weekend and Our Revolution is ramping up our Get Out the Vote by April

If we don’t stop Musk in Wisconsin, he’ll think he’s free to steamroll our
elections. Musk has already announced that he’ll give Trump’s political
operation ANOTHER $100 million.

ST. LOUIS ELECTION

Now’s our chance to build on the progressive governing majority our
movement has helped elect in St. Louis in recent cycles! Early voting
starts March 25 and runs through Election Day April 8th.

We’re endorsing Anne Schweitzer for Board of Alders Ward 1. Since her
election in 2021, Anne has been a champion for raising wages, clean water,
better housing, safety and more.

With her background in environmental studies and non-profit work, we know
she will work hard to deliver for people and the planet — and the City of
St. Louis!

As Anne said: “St. Louis is a great city, not ‘was’ but ‘is,’ and it’s our
job to make it even better.”

We’re also excited to support Rebecca McCloud for St. Louis Board (Ward
11). Rebecca beat out the competition in the primary last month as a
fighter for poor and working people.

With her focus on economic development, mental health, and better food
systems, Rebecca will be a great partner in the effort to deliver for the
people of St. Louis.

And, Our Revolution is endorsing Alisha Sonnier for St. Louis Board (Ward
7). Alisha has been a true fighter for working people in the city,
championing youth and family empowerment, equitable development, and
housing as a human right.

Our progressive bloc in St. Louis - led by Board of Alders President and
Our Revolution Board Member Megan Green - have already successfully pushed
initiatives for labor, wages, direct democracy, universal basic income and
more. Let’s keep it going!

Our Revolution is backing Teri Castillo in the City Council race in San
Antonio, Texas.

Teri is a community organizer running a people-powered campaign to
represent District 5 and ensure that public money works for the people of
San Antonio.

Since taking office, Castillo has brought historic investment to the
people of District 5 and prioritized preserving and building affordable
housing, while moving with urgency to meet the city’s climate goals.

Congrats to Aisha Braveboy on her primary win in the race for Prince
George County in Maryland!

Aisha is a champion for higher wages, criminal justice reform, and
preserving our environment — and we need fighters like her at every level
of government.

It's local leaders like Aisha who will help make our communities more

We surveyed more than 3,000 Our Revolution members, and 28% say they’re
already being impacted by Trump’s actions. Another 60% expect to be
affected as Trump targets Medicaid, SNAP, and other programs.

90% said the response of Democratic leadership has been weak,
disappointing, or unacceptable. Just 3% are very confident Dem leaders
will do what’s necessary to fight back against Trump's dangerous policies
effectively.

So many are being hurt in real time — we can’t afford for Democrats to
“play dead” and wait for Trump to fail — as consultants like James
Carville suggest.

That’s why Our Revolution’s Citizen Action Team of 57,000+ activists
