I’ll be honest, this week I’ve been incredibly frustrated with Democrats in D.C.

We are facing historically large challenges with Trump in the White House, and yet this week Chuck Schumer folded.

I don’t often call specific colleagues out and that’s intentional. My goal is to get things done, not be a flame thrower.

However right now as I write this, I genuinely can’t believe Democrats messed this budget fight up so badly. I voted NO on the budget because I cannot in good conscience vote for a bill that gives Trump even MORE power. What are we doing here folks??

As the minority party, we Democrats don’t have many opportunities to legislatively push back against the damage Trump is causing. THIS was the time to take a stand. To call their bluff. To actually fight back with the power we DO have!

I’m begging my fellow democrats: please get organized, get unified, and get louder!

Thanks for listening. We have to do better to fight back.
