This week, Trump once again changed up the game, increasing tariffs on Canadian aluminum and steel to a staggering 50% and then, mere hours later, backtracking. Now, Americans are facing retaliatory tariffs from both Canada and the E.U., inching us closer to a global trade war.
As he propels the U.S. closer and closer to a Trump recession, I wanted to set the record straight on what former President Biden and Democrats handed him as he took office:
✅ The lowest unemployment rate of any admin in 50 years
✅ 16 million jobs created, including $1.5 million in manufacturing and construction
✅ 3% annual GDP growth
✅ Inflation falling to near 2%
When you’re a billionaire, you can afford to play politics with the U.S. economy. For the rest of us, the uncertainty and anxiety surrounding Trump’s temper-tantrum-induced tariffs are going to have drastic consequences on our everyday lives.
This much has never been more clear: Republicans are the party of the top 1%, not the hardworking people of our nation.
