John,
Late yesterday, the U.S. Senate voted to empower Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s continued attacks on our federal government and our communities in a funding bill that cuts human needs programs.
While we lost this round, we also showed the strength of our movement that is fighting back.
Together, over the last few weeks, we sent nearly 500,000 messages to members of Congress, made thousands of phone calls, and showed our elected officials on both sides of the aisle that we will not stop fighting back against Donald Trump’s autocratic rule, which is firing tens of thousands of civil servants and illegally freezing congressionally allocated funds.
We will not sit back and accept the unrelenting attacks by this administration on our communities. We will hold accountable members of Congress who go along.
Rush a donation today to power our continued fight for a federal government that uplifts the most vulnerable and that stops Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s attacks on our rights and our wallets.

Thanks to our work together, the House and Senate votes were incredibly close. These narrow margins and the public outcry across the country are a testament to our collective activism, fighting for a government that represents the people, not the billionaires.
Please know that we are as upset as you are at the outcome of this vote, but that our anger only strengthens our resolve to keep fighting.
In solidarity,
Deborah Weinstein
