Share your experience and insights to help communities thrive: apply to serve on a Kitsap County advisory group!
Kitsap County is seeking community members to join its advisory groups. These essential positions, appointed by County Commissioners, serve as a vital link between residents, businesses, communities, county staff and elected officials.
Advisory group members play a key role in guiding the equitable distribution of resources and funding that enhance services, infrastructure, safety and overall quality of life. They shape plans and policy that reflect the needs and vision of the people, amplifying community concerns and initiatives.

We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and communities within Kitsap County to apply. The time commitment for most advisory groups is just a few hours each month.
Applications are currently being accepted for the following boards, committees and councils. At-large positions are open to residents from all areas of the county:

Board of Equalization (hears appeals on property valuations and determinations) - At-Large Alternate position

Commission on Children and Youth Advisory Board - North Kitsap Youth and Education representatives

Council for Human Rights - Central, South and At-Large representatives

Kingston Community Advisory Council - At-Large representative

Manchester Community Advisory Council - Nebraska Neighborhood, Schools representatives

Non-Motorized Facilities Community Advisory Committee (focus on road shoulders, bike lanes, pedestrian/cyclist safety, shared-use paths) - Central Kitsap representative
- Noxious Weed Control Board - North Kitsap representative
- Planning Commission - South Kitsap representatives
- Solid Waste Advisory Committee - Agriculture representative

Suquamish Community Advisory Council - At-Large representative

Washington State Ferries Ferry Advisory Committees - Bainbridge Island and Bremerton representatives.
