COVID-19 has revealed a disparity in how our culture views human dignity. Find out how…
Dear John,
The idea of human dignity is brought up frequently in political debates and conversations in Washington and state capitols. It’s used to justify or defend viewpoints, actions and decisions. It can be a rallying cry to fight injustice.
Now more than ever amid COVID-19, the concept of human dignity has occupied center-stage as a reason to implement extreme measures to protect lives. And we commend all the efforts that have been taken to protect those most vulnerable to the virus. As you know, Human Coalition took unprecedented action to continue serving women and families in desperate need of help during this time – while at the same time ensuring the safety of our staff and clients.
But behind all the rhetoric and messaging, what does human dignity actually mean? And what is our role as pro-life Christians to protect the dignity of all humans?
