One of Trump’s first actions after returning to the Oval Office was signing an executive order reinstating a shameful ban on transgender Americans serving in the military. This is an outright betrayal of the values our nation and military stand for.
Transgender service members have fought and sacrificed for this country — just like their fellow troops. They have proven their courage and dedication time and again. But instead of honoring their service, Trump’s discriminatory policy cast them aside, stripping them of their dignity and weakening our military.
This isn’t about national security. It’s about bigotry. And we won’t stand for it.
Every qualified American who is willing to serve should be able to — no exceptions. That’s why we’re calling on leaders in Congress to denounce this harmful ban and take action to protect transgender troops.
