I'm angry.
Earlier this week, I voted “NO” on the extreme Republican continuing resolution, and I’ll tell you why:
This bill jeopardizes critical programs like veterans’ healthcare and disaster relief. It enables DOGE to go after funding for public transit, food assistance for seniors, and public health research. And it does absolutely nothing to prevent Donald Trump and Elon Musk from abusing our tax dollars to line their own pockets.
What’s more, this was a rare moment where Democrats in Washington had an opportunity to demand concessions from Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Republicans in Congress.
So I’m furious that 10 Democratic Senators joined Republicans in allowing this bill to become law.
This moment demands strong leadership. It requires Democratic leaders who understand the stakes and who meet this moment. And while most Democrats in the House and Senate stood up for our constituents, others failed that test today.
I’m running for governor here in New Jersey because I believe this is an existential moment for our democracy and for the American Dream — and I don’t just say it, I act like it.
As governor, I’ll stand up to Donald Trump and Elon Musk to protect New Jerseyans, and I’ll forge a new path forward that puts working people first.
We’re at an inflection point, and we can’t afford to get this wrong.
I’m building a movement to take on Republican extremism and build a different vision for the future and I need you on my team. Will you chip in $10, or whatever you can afford to my campaign?

Thank you, and don't give up the ship.
