Earlier today, young people went to Chuck Schumer’s office to remind him that millions of people voted for him to fight back against Donald Trump.

He chose to arrest them rather than look them in the eyes.

For the last 8 years, Democratic Party leadership has had one message: Trump is an oligarch and a fascist, and we cannot allow him to take power. Now, Donald Trump just passed a spending bill that would give Elon Musk and his cronies the permission to cut resources to everyday Americans — with Democratic votes.

Chuck Schumer has signaled that Democrats in the Senate will cave without the slightest resistance. This is cowardice, plain and simple.

We fought hard to get the incoming DNC chair to commit to restricting the money of fossil fuel corporations in Democratic primaries, but ultimately, we need a total ban on billionaire and SuperPAC spending in our primaries, so we can be a party accountable to everyday people, not billionaires and corporations and hedge funds.

Right-wing conspiracy theorists are obsessed with us right now, and are posting unhinged falsehoods about us. They’re doing this because they know the real threat to their power grab isn’t corporate Democrats, it’s a people’s movement.
