[Your campaign brief for March 14, 2025]([link removed])
John-
This week, I continued to lead the fight against radical transgender ideology that is threatening the health and safety of America’s kids. This has been one of my top priorities for several years now, and I am working hard to advance legislation to protect children from these harmful and irreversible procedures. I also applauded the Trump Administration for reaching a deal to end the war in Ukraine that now puts the ball in Russia’s court and debunked the continued false narrative about President Trump’s relationship with Russia.
My campaign is gearing up for a heated primary fight that is one year away. I am running for re-election because I want to continue fighting for Texas and America in Congress. Several opponents have already announced they are running against me, and if they win this primary, my seat will almost certainly be lost to a Democrat. We cannot allow that to happen and I am committed to campaigning hard over the next year to win decisively so I can continue fighting for our conservative movement in Congress. Your support is crucial for me to win, and I would appreciate any donation you can make to my campaign:

Thanks for your continued support. Now, here's your brief.
THE FIGHT AGAINST RADICAL TRANSGENDER IDEOLOGY
[READ ABOUT MY BILL HERE]([link removed])
I have been leading the fight in Congress against radical transgender ideology for several years, particularly focused on how this ideology threatens America’s children. I have introduced legislation that would block federal funding for hospitals that perform sex change surgeries on minors, because there are still institutions that flout basic science and morality by engaging in these harmful and irreversible procedures.
We’re standing for basic medical ethics and recognizing those who have been silenced and betrayed by a system that puts ideology ahead of genuine care. Medicine should be grounded in truth and healing—not in false promises that cause lasting harm.
I have introduced this legislation repeatedly and have advanced it through my Energy and Commerce Committee. With Republican majorities in the House and Senate, and with President Trump in the White House, I am confident that now is the time to advance this bill into law.
The left’s ideological movement on this issue is on its heels, and it’s time to deliver the final blow with my bill.
THE LEFT CONTINUES THE "TRUMP IS A RUSSIAN PUPPET" LIE. THAT'S WHY I CONTINUE TO DEBUNK IT.
[WATCH MY DEBATE WITH MEHDI HASAN HERE]([link removed])
Whenever I have the opportunity to debate leftists like Mehdi Hasan, I jump at the opportunity. Not many Republicans do this, but I think it’s important. I do this because President Trump deserves defenders who are willing to go up against the left in public settings to debunk the egregious lies they tell about his character, his record, and his agenda. There is no lie more prevalent on the left than the “Trump is a Russian puppet” lie, which Hasan continues to perpetuate it. This week, I had the opportunity to debunk that lie directly.
The left bases its entire lie on their belief that Donald Trump has somehow shown weakness toward Vladimir Putin. But when you look at who was the American president when Putin invaded Ukraine over the past several years, you realize how ridiculous that belief is. The only times Vladimir Putin has invaded Ukraine over the last decade came during the Obama Administration and the Biden Administration.
Putin invaded Ukraine in 2014 and Obama gave the Ukrainians blankets. President Trump took office after President Obama and gave Ukraine lethal weapons—javelins and stingers—that killed Russians. Those weapons actually saved Kyiv and stopped Russia in its tracks after they invaded when President Biden signaled he would not react strongly to “just a minor incursion.”
The strange part about Mehdi Hasan’s argument here is that he actually seems to agree with the current outcome President Trump has accomplished (basically putting the ball back in Putin’s court), but as a leftist, he just can’t give Trump credit for it.
As with most of the left’s arguments against President Trump, they don’t hold up when confronted with the most simple facts. That’s why I continue to engage in these debates with the left - because defending President Trump’s record is necessary and actually quite easy.
REAL PROGRESS TOWARD PEACE IN UKRAINE
[READ HERE]([link removed])
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz announced this week that Ukraine has accepted a deal that will put the world on a path toward peace in Ukraine. This is a significant step forward in achieving President Trump’s campaign promise to end the war. It is a deal grounded in American strength and puts the ball in Russia’s court. It’s a strong deal for several reasons.
Ending the war and ensuring Putin obliges and never takes Kyiv is indeed in America’s interest. Our strategic deterrence remains established, and we have proven that America remains the world’s guarantor of peace.
President Trump isn’t abandoning Ukraine. As he has said repeatedly, you can’t end the war by abandoning Ukraine. Zelenskyy had to be brought back to reality, and President Trump did that effectively through his public posturing with Zelenskyy and his dogged commitment to negotiating a settlement to the war.
The minerals deal is a great idea for both Ukraine and the United States. It represents a security guarantee by ensuring that America’s economic interests are tied to Ukrainian sovereignty.
Now the ball is in Putin’s court. Putin would be a fool to continue his maximalist policy of fully conquering Ukraine and eventually moving on to other Baltic states and Moldova, as he has publicly said is his intention.
President Trump maintains significant leverage over Putin, even without additional military support for Ukraine. There are still many economic screws that can be tightened on Russia, should Putin refuse a ceasefire, and President Trump has made it clear he has no qualms about tightening those screws if necessary.
This is peace through American strength at work. President Trump is making good on his campaign promise, and we all need to give him the space to close this deal.
