We shouldn't be openly carrying firearms in parks, government buildings, or county fairs. That’s just common sense. SB 5098 is a crucial step toward keeping our public spaces safe- so we made a short animation to show why this bill matters.

This bill builds on Washington’s progress in protecting sensitive places like libraries and public transit by extending restrictions to places where children, families, and communities gather. We know that the presence of a firearm increases the risk of violence - and that’s why it’s critical that we pass SB 5098.
