This is a moment in which we must vigorously oppose every part of the MAGA
agenda, including their attempt to deliver more power to Trump and Musk in
the form of a short-term funding bill, known as a Continuing Resolution or
CR.

Without allowing Democrats to participate in its writing, they expect
Democrats to assist in its passage. If Democrats, especially in the
Senate, give in, then we will have lost what little leverage we have.

For those who say, “Hey Beto, what about bipartisanship?”

Please know that when I was in Congress I was one of the most bipartisan
members there. I worked across the aisle day in and day out to get
legislation passed to serve my constituents back here in El Paso, to try
to do right by and for my country.

But, we are not living in those times anymore and the Republican Party of
five or six years ago—or the Republican Party of your parents—is not the
Republican Party of today.

In fact, it's more like the Republican Party of your great grandparents if
they lived in Germany and were National Socialists and worshiped a leader
who promised to be, and was, a dictator on day one. One who talked about
immigrants poisoning the blood of the country, who made these cynical
deals with Russia to carve up territory of countries without any regard or
interest for the rule of law or what is right or the morality or the
values that their country stands for. One who destroyed the democratic
republic within which he was elected in order to rule with absolute power.

That’s the MAGA Party of today. And I see no national interest served in
working with them at all.

At Powered by People, are working every day for the future of Texas and
our country, to fight MAGA extremism and replace it with elected leaders
who believe in the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law.

Texas will have 44 electoral college votes by 2032. Soon, there will be no
path to the White House that does not run through the Lone Star state.

The steps we take today and over the coming years will allow us to
register and mobilize the necessary voters to ultimately deliver on that
potential and promise.
