I am voting hell NO on the Republicans’ budget bill. Here’s why:

I can trace my family’s history in this country back before the Revolutionary War.

Several of my ancestors fought in that war—and someone in my family has served in every period of conflict since then, because we believe so deeply in the freedoms our country was founded upon, and that everyone deserves to have a say in their government.

Put simply, this country and our democracy is in my blood.And I cannot—I will not—hand over a blank check to this Administration as they try to tear apart the nation that generations of my family fought to defend. I will not go quietly into the night as they ask us to vote for a budget that rips health care away from Veterans, takes food away from hungry children and gives Elon Musk and Donald Trump the power to rig our government and our economy against the middle class.

No. Hell no.

This goes beyond politics. It is about who we are as a country, and what we will pass on to our children. I will not roll over and just give Donald Trump and his billionaire cronies whatever they want, and I will not let them tear our Constitution to shreds.

If you are with me, please add your name here to call on EVERY Democrat to vote NO. It is critical that we show that people are overwhelmingly against giving Trump and Musk limitless power over our government.
