Trump campaigned on the promise of “draining the swamp.” Yet on his first day in office, he reversed President Biden's executive order that banned White House officials from accepting gifts from lobbyists and engaging in lobbying within two years of leaving their positions.

 Americans want real change in Washington. That’s why I’ve introduced the Drain the Swamp Act, which bans any White House official from accepting lobbyist gifts. It also bans White House officials from becoming lobbyists during and immediately after the president’s term, reinstating the revolving door ban established under the Biden administration.
