New Hampshire’s Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen has announced she will not be running for reelection next year, leaving an open race in one of the most competitive states in the country.
Just a few weeks ago, we sent you an update on the open Minnesota senate race. Now we have another open seat for Democrats to defend.
That puts us in a tough position, because we are losing the advantage that comes with running an experienced incumbent in these two races.
We can be sure that the GOP and their corporate Super PACs are readjusting their strategy this very moment, planning how and when to dump millions and millions of dollars into both New Hampshire and Minnesota.
If we are going to compete with the far-right and hold these all-important seats, we have to start building a warchest for the eventual Democratic nominees. And that’s exactly what The Long Run is planning to do.
