Vintage 2024 population estimates are now available. Between 2023 and 2024, the number of people living in a U.S. metro area increased by nearly 3.2 million (or around 1.1%) to 293.9 million.

In comparison, the total U.S. population increased by nearly 1.0% to more than 340 million people.

OnTheMap for Emergency Management Tool Updated to Include 2019-2023 ACS and 2022 LODES Data

On February 18, the Census Bureau released version 4.24.3 of OnTheMap for Emergency Management. Version 4.24.3 updates American Community Survey tabulations to the 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates and LODES data to 2022.

OnTheMap for Emergency Management provides real-time access to a range of detailed Census Bureau data about the people living and working in areas affected by hurricanes, floods, wildfires, winter storms, and federal disaster declaration areas.

The 2020 Modified Age and Race Census files were released on March 6.
