It’s not just the mask.
It’s the shutting down of Virginia on March 30th through June 10th ...not based on science and data.
It’s the failure to test people and ranking the worst state for testing in the nation, yet continually stating that testing is the prerequisite to opening VA.
It’s the lack of transparency about nursing home infections - leading to more family stress, frustration, and death. More than 60% of VA-COVID deaths are attributed to this.
It’s the foolish focus on beaches ...where nobody is being infected, rather than focusing where actual deaths have been occurring.
It’s the economic carnage created - calling people and their businesses non-essential, while policy makers continue to receive paychecks and big businesses are packed daily (without virus outbreaks happening there).
It’s the halting of cancer screening, elective surgeries, and other death-preventing measures, while hospitals never became overran.
It’s not just the mask.
It is hypocritically showing up without one, and days later ordering that masks are mandatory for all. It is abusing the power of the state to further beatdown businesses that do not enforce this nonsensical, 3-month-late mandate.
It is the lack of leadership by the governor and elected officials in VA.
It’s the lack of a clear strategy to address the virus and lack of a plan to reopen VA.
It’s the arrogance and hypocrisy of Virginia's elected officials.
It's not just the mask.
