I’m proud to serve on the House Ways and Means Committee which is responsible for writing our tax laws and helping President Trump extend his signature tax cuts.

During the campaign, I was proud to partner with President Trump to propose ending federal taxes on Social Security income.

This is one of my top priorities!

For the last 40 years, the IRS has been taking a larger and larger piece of seniors’ Social Security income because the tax isn't indexed for inflation!

In fact, this tax on Social Security benefits, which was only intended to cover high-income taxpayers, now applies to seniors who make as little as $25,000 per year.
