Dear John,
At Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner in November, Atlas Network was proud to present Lebanese Institute for Market Studies (LIMS) with the 2024 Templeton Freedom Award.
They won for taking on Lebanon’s central bank and driving economic prosperity for the country’s over five million residents.
Their achievement is a testament to the power of dreaming big, and it’s a story we’re proud to tell again and again.
But today, I’d like to shine a spotlight on the five other outstanding partner organizations that were finalists for the award.
Each delivered a major victory for freedom in their country, showcasing why they were well-qualified for a shot at the grand prize.
The five other Templeton Freedom Award finalists were:
- Bendukidze Free Market Center (BFMC) – for bringing economic education to over 100,000 Ukrainian students.
- Centre for Development and Enterprises Great Lakes (CDE) – for securing property and inheritance rights for women in Burundi.
- Foundation for the Advancement of Liberty (Fundalib) – for reducing the tax burden for lower-income Spanish citizens.
- Institute for Market Economics (IME) – for delivering overdue reforms to Bulgaria’s judicial system.
- Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF) – for winning a landmark case in the Supreme Court abolishing the practice of home equity theft by local governments in the U.S.
The Templeton Freedom Award is Atlas Network’s most prestigious award, with a $100,000 grand prize.
But even just being named a finalist is an incredible honor.
So much so that we featured the wins of each finalist in the newest issue of Freedom’s Champion magazine.

Thank you for being a part of this movement and making their achievements possible!
