Hi there,

I’ve been sitting at home heartbroken over the injustices we’ve seen across the nation. A man was killed on a public street for the crime of being Black. Slaughterhouse workers are being forced back to work in dangerous conditions, where nightmarish “depopulation” strategies are used to dispose of the animals. And our political leadership is silent or complicit in these horrors.

But we can overcome these challenges with new political leadership -- leadership that protects victims of violence, rather than those who inflict.

You can be one of the 150 people who helps us execute this plan by signing up for a mere 2 hours of outreach per week.

The math is simple. We expect 60,000 voters in Berkeley on election day, November 3, 2020. And we need 50% of them to win. Research from top scholars and lessons from recent successful campaigns that the single best way to win these voters is to talk to them. And if we can recruit a mere 150 people to take on a 2 hour volunteer shift of voter outreach, we’ll have enough conversations to win the election!

But I can’t do it alone. I need your help. Our campaign is mobilizing perhaps the largest voter outreach effort in Berkeley history. We will be making phone calls and knocking on doors every day until election day. And anyone can help. If you’re shy or nervous, don’t worry! I’ll be right there with you to provide support and training.

Can you contribute 2 hours a week to help us transform the system in which we live?

Thanks,
Wayne
