The “power behind the power” presidential element isn’t a new concept.

Most recently, in the George W. Bush administration, it was Dick Cheney. The list is long.

But take a look at that picture. Trump is sitting at the Resolute Desk, sure. But Elon Musk — Dork Vader himself — is the one in control. And if you watch the video of the press conference that this picture is from you will know that to be true.

Trump turned the entire presser over to Elon Musk, and Musk more or less called for the elimination of judicial review and the federal court’s role in restricting the actions of the White House.

We know why. Elon Musk is stripping the wires out of the federal government, in violation of the Constitution, dismantling Congressionally authorized and appropriated federal agencies, laying off staff, slashing grants, programs, and more. Circumventing and breaking the law, enriching himself, cutting benefits for Veterans and Military Families, and making our nation less safe.

Elon has been ordered repeatedly by federal courts to stop what he is doing and follow the law. He has proven himself either unwilling or incapable of following those orders. Billions in federal funding and grants continue to be frozen. USAID workers continue to be furloughed. The list goes on.

This is not approaching, or verging on a Constitutional Crisis. This IS a Constitutional Crisis.

The richest man on earth — an unelected, unaccountable billionaire operating in near total secrecy — is running the country. But this is the important thing here: Elon Musk ain’t the boss. He has no real power. He is incredibly unpopular. And if we dial up the pressure, we can FIRE ELON.

Every Veteran swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. We will not break that oath. VoteVets is going to fight Elon Musk tooth and nail for as long as we have to — and we need you with us.
