STOP WORK ORDER: In Ukraine, 400,000 women and girls will be affected by cuts to psychosocial support, violence prevention services, safe spaces, and economic empowerment programs.
As the funding freeze further exacerbates the dire situation Ukrainians are facing, will you rush a donation right now to sustain programs for women, girls, pregnant mothers, and infants? [[link removed]?]

Wherever there is war, women and girls often pay the highest price. Ukraine is no exception right now.

Close to three years of full-scale war in Ukraine have forced more than 14 million people — mostly women and children — to flee their homes. Displacement and the ongoing conflict have disrupted sexual and reproductive health services, putting pregnant women at an extreme risk for complications.

As another harsh winter sets in, conditions for women and girls in Ukraine will only worsen.

UNFPA is doing everything in our power to reach women and girls in Ukraine with lifesaving care. Will you help us deliver lifesaving care in Ukraine and wherever women and girls need our support? [[link removed]?]

“When the alarm went off, we were all rushed into the shelter,” Oksana , who is 26 weeks pregnant, told UNFPA at a prenatal facility in Kyiv.

“Even the tiniest babies from the neonatal intensive care unit were brought down by nurses and aides, who carried them gently because they are too fragile for the mothers to move them on their own.”

Yuliya , another expectant mother at the facility, was brought there to get help for complications that were exacerbated by the constant stress and anxiety of living through a war.

“The ongoing attacks, the alarms – they have a profound impact on both the baby and the mother. It’s not just about me; it's about my unborn child.”

In times of uncertainty and fear, women like Oksana and Yuliya can rely on UNFPA to find the care they need to deliver their babies safely. So as Ukraine prepares for another long, harsh winter, we cannot leave women and girls out in the cold.

That’s why we’re asking you to step up with a donation today — which is even more critical as the Trump administration weighs defunding UNFPA, and with it, lifesaving care like this in Ukraine and beyond.

So please, will you make a gift to keep delivering maternal health care to women living through war in Ukraine and wherever help is needed? [[link removed]?]

MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT [[link removed]?]

Thank you for standing up for women and girls in Ukraine and around the world.
