John–
In a moment, I'm going to ask you to give to Everytown for Gun Safety so we can continue our mission of ending gun violence. But first, I want to give you a backstory.
Do you know how Everytown, Moms Demand Action, and Students Demand Action came to be?
A year after the tragedy at Sandy Hook and the subsequent negligence from Congress to pass meaningful gun safety legislation, Mayors Against Illegal Guns joined forces with Moms Demand Action to create Everytown for Gun Safety. And, within two weeks of the Parkland shooting in 2018, Students Demand Action launched nationwide.
Now, we're a movement of nearly 11 million volunteers, survivors, advocates, and supporters who all believe in the same mission—securing a future free of gun violence.
With a president in office who is threatening to make schools and public spaces even more unsafe, we cannot lose our resolve. We have to keep growing our movement, outmaneuvering the gun lobby, and pushing meaningful legislation through state legislatures across the country and in Congress. At the same time, we have to bolster our efforts and be prepared for whatever this new administration has in store. That means both advancing lifesaving gun safety measures and defending against dangerous rollbacks that put more lives at risk. But we can only do that when we all contribute.
John, your support can make all the difference and ensure we have what we need to mobilize supporters in all 50 states and in Washington D.C. For the safety of our students and our communities, please rush a donation to Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund so that we can continue to do this life-saving work.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately by clicking one of the dollar amounts:
