Reports are emerging that Elon Musk and DOGE are working to “radically downsize" the Social Security Administration and cut its funding.

President Trump has already given Musk access to the Social Security Administration’s data system, now he wants to let Elon and DOGE unilaterally cut funding for the agency.

Let’s be clear: If Trump and Musk succeed in gutting Social Security, the impact across our nation would be catastrophic.

Families would struggle to put food on the table. Medical bills would go unpaid. And the poverty rate among seniors would skyrocket.

While Elon Musk attacks Social Security and claims it’s a “ripoff,” Brittany Pettersen knows that Social Security is a lifeline for millions of seniors, people with disabilities, and children.

This is personal to Brittany. Her parents, like so many other seniors, rely on Social Security to get by.
