February has already been a busy month.

The APPG on Fair Elections has really hit the ground running, wasting no time to make a real impact in Parliament and calling for a National Commission on Electoral Reform. And we’vehttps://actionstorm.org/petitions/ncer#reactionslaunched our own petition ([link removed]) , rallying public support.

In 2024 we put rockets under the campaign for Proportional Representation. And we couldn’t have done it without your help.

We know this fight won’t be won overnight though. It’s an uphill battle, but we’re making amazing progress.

What’s for sure is that too much is at stake. We need to secure Proportional Representation before the next election. Will you support our work sustainably by making a monthly donation?

* Donald Trump has become President of the United States, with all the fanfare from loonies you’d expect and picking weird fights like trying to colonise Greenland.
* Elon Musk has been spreading his unique brand of fascism around the globe, backing the far-right in Germany, Reform in the UK, and twisting the the screw of division in several other countries.
* Nigel Farage has been courting right-wing donors, with wooing defections from millionaire Conservative donors. His efforts to replace the Conservatives are in full swing and going to plan.

And the storm is only getting worse.

Here at Open Britain we’ve been on the front foot though, leading the charge.
* The APPG on Fair Elections has hit the ground running, holding its first meeting and setting its objectives, fully in sync with our own.
* Proportional Representation is on the agenda in Parliament with a Commons debate, where MPs representing six parties and every region and nation of the UK urging the government to establish a National Commission on electoral reform.
* We’ve held Nigel Farage’s feet to the flames, shining a light on his shady dealings and leading the fight to stop him exploiting weaknesses in our democracy.

Together we're making huge strides and have given fresh momentum to the campaign for Proportional Representation. We wouldn’t have got this far alone.
