Hello John,
I know it feels like the world is upside down right now—likely because it actually is. Trump's rhetoric has shifted from absurd and radical to the new normal for the GOP. We hear something insane for the first time, brush it off in disbelief, and then realize they are completely serious. Reality keeps hitting us in the face every single time.
For example, Republican members of Congress are being inundated with calls from their own voters about Trump's Middle East strategy. While Democrats and Independents clearly disagree with these policies, it’s the backlash from Republican voters that is causing the most pushback. Gaza is not for sale, and America is not the king of the planet, no matter what Trump, Netanyahu, or their cronies think. Borders are sovereign, internationally guaranteed territories, and that principle should not be up for negotiation.
On the issue of borders, we now have a "drunken frat boy" Secretary of Defense outlining new Ukrainian borders at the behest of Trump and Putin. Together, they are negotiating how to execute Putin’s demands. The official U.S. policy now involves redrawing Ukraine’s borders to appease the Kremlin. Elections have consequences, and we are living through them right now, fighting back with everything we have. We’re reaching out to Republicans and Democrats alike because nobody—across the political spectrum—is happy with what’s happening. Republicans didn’t vote to surrender their rights to a few corporate oligarchs. While we may disagree on the Second Amendment, we can all agree on one thing: America and the world are not for sale.
Foreign policy is not the only disaster unraveling under Trump’s administration. Project 2025 might fit their distorted version of reality, but it’s a nightmare for the rest of us. Today, inflation numbers were released, and they are the highest we’ve seen since June—before Trump’s reckless tariffs even kick in. If these tariffs were a good idea, wouldn’t we have tried them by now? The concept of forcing foreign countries to "pay us more" to enter our markets sounds good on the surface, but that’s not how it works. Other countries simply raise prices on American consumers, meaning we
end up paying more. Essentially, Trump is raising taxes on Americans at a time when inflation was finally beginning to stabilize.
His arbitrary 10% tariff here, 25% there—numbers plucked out of thin air—further demonstrate his incompetence. The corrupt media establishment, which serves the same oligarchy Trump represents, tries to spin this as a "negotiating tactic." But it’s not. He’s simply a moron, and it shows. Remember when he addressed the United Nations and declared himself the greatest President in U.S. history? The entire room, filled with diplomats and seasoned officials, broke out in laughter. It was one of the most humiliating moments in our nation’s history. That’s who Trump is, and this is what a Trump presidency looks like.
Now let’s talk about his cabinet. It’s a “who’s who” of incompetence, corruption, and compromised individuals. If the goal is to dismantle our government institutions completely, these are the people you’d pick to lead. The Secretary of Health and Human Services doesn’t believe in science—an ironic and horrifying choice. Meanwhile, the cowardly Republican Senate refuses to object to their anointed king.
What’s worse: RFK Jr. as Secretary of HHS, or Tulsi Gabbard as Secretary of National Intelligence? Tulsi, who has already been caught parroting Assad propaganda, is now being handed control over national intelligence. As a Syrian, I’ve been speaking out about Tulsi long before she joined Trump’s circle. Traitors naturally gravitate to other traitors, and this administration is full of them.
These developments fill my days with anger, heartbreak, and determination—on loop. The media is reveling in this chaos, raking in profits as ratings soar, while our nation and the world are literally on fire.
We cannot afford to sit on the sidelines while our nation’s future is at stake. The stakes are too high, and the consequences of inaction are too dire. No Dem Left Behind is fighting every single day to push back against this chaos, to hold leaders accountable, and to restore power to the people. But we can’t do it without you.
Now is the time to get involved. Join us in this fight by donating today—every contribution, no matter the size, fuels our efforts to flip districts, support progressive candidates, and build a better future for all Americans. Together, we can stand up to the madness, protect our democracy, and ensure no one is left behind.
In Solidarity,
Hassan Martini
