J Stream

Friend --

As an organization dedicated to peace, justice and equality, J Street stands in solidarity with communities of color in this moment of grief and anger over the cruel, systemic and violent racism that continues to permeate our police forces and plague our nation. As Jewish Americans, our history and our values compel us not only to recognize the structural discrimination in our society, but to stand up and fight against it.

Last week, we called on supporters to consider donating to anti-racist organizations, including Color of Change, Jews for Racial and Economic Justice and the Southern Poverty Law Center. This week on J Stream, we have the opportunity to hear and learn from Rashad Robinson, President of Color of Change, a leading racial justice organization dedicated to mobilizing political power in black communities.

Building Political Power to Fight for Racial Justice:
A Conversation with Rashad Robinson

While we know no single election and no single candidate can undo centuries of inequality, we share with Color of Change the common goal of defeating President Trump and his allies this November to help to begin laying the groundwork for a better future.

We’ll be speaking with Robinson about the hard work of dismantling structural racism, the importance of mobilizing political power within marginalized communities and how our community -- including Jews from a wide range of backgrounds -- can show meaningful support and solidarity at this challenging moment.

Register here for this J Stream briefing.

I look forward to seeing you on Friday’s Zoom.

Best,
Ben Shnider

J Street is the political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans who want Israel to be secure, democratic and the national home of the Jewish people. Working in American politics and the Jewish community, we advocate policies that advance shared US and Israeli interests as well as Jewish and democratic values, leading to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
