Apply for Neighborhood Art Placemaker Grants

Preserve the identity and character of your neighborhood through 2025 Placemaking Grants! Deadline is March 7.

Some of your favorite art around town, from wall and street murals to decorated bus stops and bike parking

Interested applicants are invited to attend an upcoming
in-person Q&A session ([link removed]) Thursday, Feb. 13, from 5:30-7 p.m. or attend a virtual Q&A session ([link removed]) Thursday, Feb. 20, from noon to 1:30 p.m. B
oth sessions are drop-in style, so applicants can join whenever is convenient for them. The in-person session will be held at the UDC’s studio at 1507 Camden Road.


Learn About New Microtransit Service

CATS Micro Will Provide More Access to Jobs, Health Care, Education and Major Activity Centers in North Mecklenburg County. How? CATS Micro is an on-demand, shared-ride service that gets you where you need to go for the same fare as a local bus or rail trip.

CATS Micro operates point-to-point within a designated zone and will initially serve the Northern Mecklenburg County area. Info and schedule

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will host in-person town hall and pop-up meetings to educate and engage with the public regarding its new microtransit service CATS Micro. During these meetings, CATS staff will share information about how to use the service and guide attendees through the booking process. CATS Micro is set to launch Monday, Feb. 24, 2025.

Town Hall Meeting:
• Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Davidson Town Hall (251 South St., Davidson, NC 28036)

Pop-up Meetings:
• Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 4-6 p.m. at Huntersville Gateway Park & Ride (10300 Compass St., Huntersville, NC 28078)
• Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 4-6 p.m. at Cornelius Park & Ride (20300 Sefton Park Road, Cornelius, NC 28031)
